Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books 25-26
Battle of the Books is an optional, state-wide reading program and competition offered to 5th and 6th grade students. Students will form teams of up to 3 members. Each student is responsible for reading the four pre-selected books each quarter. After the fall, winter, and spring intersessions, the teams will compete to see which team correctly answers the most questions about the books and scores the highest points! The team with the highest number of points goes on to represent WGA in the district.
WGA coordinators for Battle of Books this year are:
- Mrs. Durham for 5th Grade
- Mr. Servis for 6th Grade
Books
All books used in the battles are available for checkout in the library. These books are separate from the library shelves and must be requested for checkout. The books are checked out for 1 month at a time and can be renewed if more time is needed. All books from the previous battle are due back before the next battle books can be checked out.
